Who should attend this event?
The primary audience is parents and caregivers of transgender and gender expansive children and their families and the professionals who serve them.
What time zone will the event be in?
Sessions will take place in Eastern Daylight Time. The first adult session will begin at 9:00am EST and the youth program begins at 1:30pm EST.
How/when will I get my Zoom links?
The email you provided during registration will be used to provide you with Zoom links. We will email the Zoom links the day before the event.
Will the sessions be recorded?
No. In an effort to protect the privacy of our participants, sessions will not be recorded.
What is an Affinity space?
An affinity space is a dedicated safe space where Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) and non-BIPOC parents/caregivers of children of color can come together to talk about how their intersecting identities might impact their families’ gender journey.
Is everyone allowed to participate in the Affinity Space session?
No. The Affinity Space is specifically intended for BIPOC parents/caregivers and/or non-BIPOC parents/caregivers of children of color.
Will there be any language accommodations?
We are currently exploring our ability to provide Spanish translation and ASL interpretation. We are gathering attendee needs as part of registration and will be reaching out to individuals who indicate they have a need for these services.
Will I be able to network and meet other virtual attendees?
Yes. Some sessions will be offering discussions and the chat function will be available.
When do I need to register in order to attend?
Registration is open through April 9 at 5pm EST.

Why do we need to answer so many questions to register?
The information you provide will help us identify who we are serving, helping us to establish goals for broadening our reach. Thank you for helping us collect this important data.
Do I have to enter the names of everyone in my household who will be attending?
Yes. Please make sure you enter ticket information for each person in your household who will be participating so we can send you the appropriate links.
What will my donation be used for?
We are excited to offer this virtual event at no cost to our attendees. There are expenses associated with delivering this event and are grateful to our sponsors and donors who provide funds to cover these expenses.
What technology requirements do I need to participate?
Presentations will be using the Zoom interface. If you are not a frequent Zoom user or if you will be using a different device than normal, you may want to perform a test.
